PASADENA, USA, Oct. 13, 2026 - Voyager Technologies has completed all acceptance testing for its Griffin-1 lunar lander.[1] NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory first announced the successful completion of all required environmental qualification testing for the vehicle on 13 October 2026.[2] Impact Insight. Lunar lander qualification testing verifies a vehicle can survive the vibration, temperature extremes and vacuum conditions encountered during launch and transit to the Moon. Completed ground testing is the final major gate before a lander is cleared for integration onto a launch vehicle. Mature landing and surface operation technologies are required to establish sustained human and robotic presence beyond low Earth orbit. The link to planetary defense is indirect: precise, reliable landing technology is a prerequisite for any future mission that must touch down on a small body.
